At the beginning of the movie it says "A Dirk Pitt Adventure". It wasn't so bad a movie, perhaps there is hope for some of his books? When I ran out of King books to read, I read some Koontz. Good stuff... also, some Clive Barker. If you're willing to give another Clive a chance, I would reccommend Books of Blood, by Clive Barker.
